When initially setting up my Hauptwerk project, I had a stereo receiver (with remote) and speakers I really wasn't using. So I mounted them in the cabinet. The speakers sounded good, even for the lowest 16' bass notes. However, the receiver was overkill and hard to turn on and adjust. It generated quite a bit of heat.

So I researched just plain mini amplifiers and settled on the Pyle PFA400U. It has enough power and frequency range to drive the speakers for my home setup and generates almost no heat. The controls are easy to reach from the top of the organ. I only use it's amplifier functionality.

It is a Class-T amplifier, although a Class-D has nearly identical specifications.
