Building my organ

When I first started with Hauptwerk, I didn't have a real plan. I used existing components: I had one keyboard, my Mac Computer, a stereo system and plug-in Headphones. I set up on a folding table. I experimented setting up Hauptwerk, purchased another sample set then decided to build an organ. I wanted to keep the cost low by doing it myself using commercial components.

I found a vintage Baldwin organ in good shape on Craigslist near me. It had a 27 key pedalboard and a bench. So I set out to repurpose it as a Virtual Pipe Organ. I worked on it off and on for over several years. It is ideal for a home organ in a small space.

I learned a lot and still am learning. I am considering selling my organ and starting on another.

Details of  how I built my Virtual Pipe Organ is highlighted on the following pages.
